Phyllis Yu graduated in 2020 from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, with an undergraduate degree in Architecture. During her time at university, she began to experiment with making models out of clay and, from there, fell in love with the whole process! The first Phyllos Ceramics mug was inspired by the ocean and textures found underwater, which led to a whole host of original characters that were designed to be cute companions throughout daily life. Together with DEMDACO, each member of her "family" of mugs comes creatively packaged with a unique character biography that mirrors the special people in all our lives.
